Ruddington’s Three Spices has again been recognised as one of the best in the country at this year’s  “Curry Life Awards” organised by Curry Life Magazine. New Village Centre Parking Restrictions Proposed

The issue of finding somewhere to park in Ruddington for visitors, local residents and workers is being addressed in new plans by Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC). It follows growing complaints from shoppers and traders about the lack of daytime parking spaces in our village centre. When a maximum two hour waiting limit was introduced in more areas a few years ago it just seemed to move the problem on to the unrestricted streets – causing even more misery for residents trying to park near their homes. Musters Road Burglars Jailed

Two men have been put in prison for a combined 12 years and four months following a string of house burglaries across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. One of these was a break-in at a house in Musters Road here in Ruddington on March 12th this year. Ashley Simpson, 32, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to 18 counts of burglary. Timothy Wilson, 34, formerly of Woodfield Road in Nottingham, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of burglary, two counts of attempted burglary and two counts of theft. Two More Parish Councillors Sought

Ruddington Parish Council is again looking for community-minded villagers to come forward to fill two vacancies – after a couple of its newer councillors stepped down. Empty seats have been left in Camelot Ward and Manor Ward – following the resignations of Yvonne Lishman and Sarah Godfrey respectively. Their departures follow a relatively stable period for the Council after a raft of resignations during 2016 and 2017. More Travellers in Ruddington!

After Sellors’ Recreation Ground twice became a temporary home to members of the travelling community over the summer the latest Ruddington encampment is at the other end of our village. SIX caravans rolled into the Visitor Car Park in Rushcliffe Country Park at around 10am this morning (Monday 1st October) and parallel parked near to the exit.
