It’s been announced that Ruddington’s 2020 Christmas Market and Fayre has had to be called off due to continuing concerns about COVID-19. This weekend Ruddington Village Market returned after a four month physical absence, and it was a huge success – with organisers, traders and visitors doing an outstanding job of relaunching as a ‘socially distanced’ market in its new location on the village green. Traders on Ruddington’s High Street have continued to mop up and assess the damage today after yesterday’s torrential rain which flooded many of their premises. Ruddington’s popular, monthly market will be back this July – after being suspended for the past three months due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak. Village centre traders are encouraging residents to #ShopLocal in the run up to this Christmas – with several businesses staying open later every Wednesday between now and the big day.
