New Ruddington Café Shelter Opens

Visitors to Rushcliffe Country Park can now enjoy an extra place to take refuge from the rain – or the sun! – thanks to a brand new natural wood shelter constructed near the Visitor Centre. Save the Children ‘Fun Dog Show’

Enter your doggy at the ‘Fun Dog Show’ to raise funds for Save the Children – it’s £2 per entry. This charity event will be on Saturday 20th May at Rushcliffe Country Park – on the field opposite to the Children’s Play Area – from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Tree-mendous Job, Ruddington!

TODAY (Friday 31st March 2023) was the extended deadline by which tree planting must be registered to be included in ‘The Queen’s Green Canopy’ (QGC) as a legacy to Her Majesty. Ruddington has seen numerous local companies, groups and individuals get involved with this national initiative. This year’s Rushcliffe 10k and Fun Run is back at Rushcliffe Country Park– after a 4-year absence due to the Coronavirus pandemic – on Sunday March 26th. Festive Wildlife Watch Group for Kids

Country Park Transformation in Full Swing with Help from Artex

Artex colleagues dusted off their wellies earlier this month to plant 400 hedges and trees donated by the Ruddington based business to Rushcliffe Country Park. The hedgerows were planted in the park’s new outdoor seating area which has been developed into a large, open and shaded area with views of the lake and easy access to the car park, visitor centre, toilets and café. Animal Craftwork Sale

Support the festive fundraising sale in the Meeting Room of the Visitor Centre at Rushcliffe Country Park on Wednesday 7th December from 10am to 3pm. The event is by registered charity Friends of Rushcliffe Country Park (FoRCP). Resident volunteer carpenter Roger Byrne is holding an ‘Animal Craftwork Sale’ of carved items he’s made using his bandsaw – also his creative skill. The organisers of Ruddington’s Junior Parkrun have released final details about the two very special visitors coming to our Country Park this weekend. As previously reported, Pudsey Bear and celebrity body-coach Joe Wicks will be taking part in Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun this Sunday, 13th November 2022, as part of BBC Children in Need‘s annual fundraising.
