Pond Dipping! Wildlife Watch Group for Kids

How about a “fun, wild and fantastic time for kids”? Children aged between 8 and 12, from the village and beyond, can get involved with 2-hour nature sessions run by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.

It’ll be Pond Dipping in Rushcliffe Country Park on Saturday 10th June. Meet at 11am outside the Visitor Centre (right hand side when entering from the car park). With summer upon us, you’re advised to put on sun screen and have a hat because there’s a short walk before you get to the area for pond dipping.
Organisers say: “We will have our usual ‘nature show and tell’ before we head off to the ponds and hopefully find out what adventures Mr Hedgehog has been on. Laura is our leader on the day, ably backed up by volunteer helpers Glynis and Mark.
Please let the group know you’ll be going along to this event – it helps them to ensure they’ve enough nets, trays, etc. If you’re delayed for the arrival time, you’re advised to call 07545131792 to say you’ll be late.

You can find all Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s latest events listed >>HERE<<.

Rushcliffe Wildlife Watch group meets monthly (except in August) at 11am usually at our Country Park on the second Saturday, outside the Education Centre by the lake.

Children can try a ‘taster’ session first – to book for this, please email Rushcliffewatch@nottswt.co.uk.
