Buckingham Palace has announced that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon (Thursday 8th September 2022). She was 96. The Queen was the UK’s longest-serving monarch, reigning for 70 years, with extensive celebrations to mark her Platinum Jubilee having taken place in Ruddington just three months’ ago. Ruddington representatives and residents have been paying tribute to HRH Prince Philip, whose passing at the age of 99 was announced today by Buckingham Palace. The husband of Queen Elizabeth II since 1947, the Duke of Edinburgh died at Windsor Castle this morning (9th April 2021) just two months before his 100th birthday. Amazing Reglazing at St Peter’s

A little bit of Ruddington’s history has now been reinstated thanks to some painstaking restoration work for our Parish Church. RUDDINGTON.info reported last summer how some of the stained glass windows at St Peter’s had been targeted by vandals – leading to the closure of the churchyard at night. Following the UK Government’s announcement that English churches can reopen for private worship, St Peter’s Church in Ruddington has confirmed it is welcoming visitors again two days a week.
