Ruddingtonians who have a reason to walk via the private, gravel road between Clifton Road and Fairham Close will almost certainly have spotted a slightly odd L-shaped patch of previously overgrown land on the corner, just outside the western gates of ‘Paradise Gardens’ Allotments. A Ruddington based business, perhaps best known for its swirly ceilings, will be expecting a great finish with its latest fundraiser! This week, a team of four from home improvement giant Artex on Pasture Lane take part in the Vado Rally – driving a “banger” from Dover to Copenhagen over five days. These include National Accounts Manager Amy Smith and Tony Wright (pictured top). The banger in question is a 13 year old Renault Scenic 1.4 – which they had to buy for under £500 to qualify.
