Ruddington’s Navy 3 Bus To Continue

Nottingham City Transport and Nottingham City Council have announced changes to Clifton bus services next month but have revealed their Navy 3 via Ruddington will continue to operate – albeit to a reduced timetable. The good news for village residents who rely on the service comes after months of speculation that the route could be axed altogether due to insufficient passenger numbers – leaving Wilford Road without any bus service at all and Clifton Road without a bus into the City. Residents from the new Pasture Lane estates, and those who enjoy walking to Rushcliffe Country Park, are celebrating the completion of a long awaited all-weather surface on a key pedestrian access route. After months of campaigning by pedestrians, and lobbying by Ruddington Parish Council (RPC), Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) has finally set a date to give a muddy Ruddington footpath a new, all-weather surface. Pupils at a village school have launched their own dedicated daily exercise routine “The Daily Mile” in a bid to beat obesity and improve their health and well-being.
