Following the announcement that Ruddington will be put into England’s ‘new’ highest level of COVID-19 restrictions to start 2021, our village’s main bus operator says the latest change will not alter the existing schedules of either its Navy 3 or Green 10 services. It’s not very frequently we get snow within the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ in our part of the East Midlands. However, villagers awoke to the first significant snowfall of the winter this morning – much to the delight of our younger residents. WALK #4 – Ruddington to Bradmore – and back

This is the fourth walk in the series – and we have already headed south, north and west – so this stroll takes in countryside to the east of Ruddington, around the pretty village of Bradmore. Every year shoppers at our village Co-op help to provide much needed cash for three local good causes via their ‘Local Community Fund’. During the last funding year, the Ruddington branch handed out a total of £11,458.25 to local projects in need via ‘The Big Co-op Payout’ – split between Ruddington District Girl Guiding, NG11 Foodbank and Together@Clifton. £5K Funding Boost for Village Market

As hundreds of visitors flocked to today’s festive Ruddington Village Market, its volunteer organisers learned they’d won a grant from Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) to make it even better next year! Today’s news that Ruddington will fall back under Tier 3 restrictions when the current ‘lockdown’ ends has not come as a great surprise to residents and traders.
