Village Centre Roadworks Postponed

In another strange but welcome turn of events, the planned work by Severn Trent Water around Kempson Street, which was due to start today (Tuesday 30th November), has been called off! Ruddington traders and motorists had been dreading more disruption and delays coming, as it was, straight after Cadent had only just completed its over-running gas main repair work. This had closed Wilford Road at Dutton’s Hill for almost two weeks, causing peak time traffic chaos. No sooner has Cadent Gas finally completed its over-running repair work – which closed Wilford Road at Dutton’s Hill for almost two weeks – village centre traders and motorists in Ruddington are immediately facing more potential disruption and delays this week.
