Christmas Street Market Confirmed
The organisers of Ruddington Village Market say this December’s Christmas event will be returning to High Street and St Peter’s Church – after being scaled down last year to take place only on The Green because of COVID-19 concerns. Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP) took over the responsibility of organising the annual ‘Christmas Fayre’ from Ruddington Parish Council early last year, with plans to combine it with their festive December Village Market on The Green to make it bigger and better than ever. St Peter’s Church: Catch the Navy 3 or Green 10 to Ruddington Church. The chapel of St Mary, built in 1459, became Ruddington’s parish church when St Peter’s Church in nearby Flawford was demolished in 1773. Much of the current Grade II listed Gothic style building dates from 1824 but it retains the chancel and steeple from the ancient fabric. The impressive manual pipe organ was installed in 1908 and made by Brindley & Foster of Sheffield. The church is in frequent use for worship as well as other village events…

Mandy is well known in the village. She was a childminder on Wilford Road for ten years before going on to her current job at James Peacock School. Our thanks to their daughter Tish…
