Bus Company’s Advice on Face Coverings

Whilst the Government says using public transport should still be avoided during COVID-19 Coronavirus ‘social distancing’ restrictions, Nottingham City Transport is advising that passengers making essential journeys may benefit from wearing a face covering. Late May Bank Holiday Buses

With Monday 25th May being another Bank Holiday, Nottingham City Transport is reminding passengers that the continuing COVID-19 ‘lockdown’ means its Green 10 buses should still only be used by key workers to and from our village – or by people needing to use public transport to Ruddington’s shops to buy essential supplies or for medical requirements. Following the Prime Minister’s latest announcement that people who cannot work from home should now try to go back to their jobs, Ruddington’s main bus provider has issued a statement to clarify the current situation on its services. As the unprecedented lockdown continues across the UK, to try to halt the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus, this year’s Easter activities and celebrations in Ruddington will be mainly confined to people’s homes plus short trips out for exercise or essential shopping. In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, Ruddington’s main transport provider has put off all planned fare increases indefinitely. However its Navy 3 service has now been suspended whilst the frequency of its Green 10 buses to and from our village has been reduced.
