Bus Fare Changes Postponed

In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, Ruddington’s main transport provider has put off all planned fare increases indefinitely. However its Navy 3 service has now been suspended whilst the frequency of its Green 10 buses to and from our village has been reduced. Nottingham City Transport says ‘unprecedented times’ – when buses should now only be used for ‘essential’ travel – prompted it to postpone the rise in fares which should have taken effect from 29th March 2020. Special Bus Timetables Introduced for Essential Journeys Only

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement that we now should leave home for very limited purposes, coupled with a significant recent decline in bus use, Nottingham City Transport has announced it will dedicate its services to core routes only from Wednesday 25th March 2020. The company says this temporary bus network will focus on getting as many key workers to their jobs as possible and providing access to essential shops and services for those without cars. Ruddington’s main transport provider has announced that it’s putting off all planned fare increases this spring. However service levels on its Navy 3 or Green 10 buses to and from our village will soon have to be reduced in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.
