Mystery Christmas Cash Donor Unmasked by National Newspaper

The identity of the generous individual responsible for envelopes stuffed with cash being delivered to households in Ruddington, Clifton and Silverdale for the last six Christmases has been revealed by The Daily Express. Threat to Village Cashpoints

Police are asking villagers to keep our eyes peeled for a forklift truck stolen this week – fearing it may be used to commit cashpoint crime. It follows a spate of incidents around the area when such a vehicle has been utilised by crooks to rip ATMs from the outside walls of shops to try to steal the money. Co-op Cashpoint Arrives

Ruddington’s promised new 24 hour cashpoint in the village centre has just been installed! Following the granting of  planning permission in November there’s now an ATM in the Co-op shopfront on Church Street. For a short period, after the closure of HSBC’s branch in 2010 then Barclay’s in 2015, Ruddington was actually left without a single round-the-clock cashpoint in the village centre.  Instead locals and visitors had to rely on cash-back, machines located inside Sainsbury’s or the Co-op during opening hours, or head to Loughborough Road filling station.
