New Writers and Knitters Groups in Ruddington

Ruddington Library is starting TWO new regular hobby groups this month. The first is a Writing Group that will meet fortnightly from Friday 5th July until Friday 16th August, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. The sessions will focus on fun, informal writing exercises in a supportive and no-pressure environment. Themes and direction will develop with the interests of the group. Artists and Knitters Wanted!

Are you creative with paint, fabric or wool? Over the NEXT Bank Holiday weekend, Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum is hosting a three day Summer Exhibition and Sale of Artwork and Textiles, and they’d love to hear from you. The event will run from Saturday 26th to Monday May 28th. Their stipulation is that all your works must be for sale with any commission going towards museum funds. The Forties with The Framework Knitters

Ruddington’s Framework Knitters Museum is hosting a FREE wartime extravaganza on Bank Holiday Monday, the 29th of  May. Called ‘Swing Back to the 1940s’, the event turns back the clock to the Second World War, with staff and volunteers decked out in best 1940s regalia.
