Ruddington’s now famous annual real ale and cider festival is happening again from Thursday to Sunday this week. The four day “RuddFest” offers over 150 beers and ciders, alongside wines, Prosecco and spirits throughout the village PLUS live entertainment, a big variety of food and fun activities for the kids. The idea of regular beer festivals in Ruddington began at The White Horse in 2006 when the then tenants Tony Beecroft and Jez Curtis decided to make good use of their generous beer garden for a few extra barrels of real ale and cider from…

Our village came alive today – with the sound of singing seemingly to be heard from every direction. Businesses in Ruddington have begun exploring innovative new ways they might work together in order to attract more residents and visitors to use our village centre. On April 12th an extraordinary Ruddington Parish Council meeting was called in the wake of worries about the closure of Thomas’s Greengrocers – the latest of several long established independent traders here who’ve gone out of business or decided to shut up shop. Now a form of “Village Centre Partnership” is being proposed after dozens of concerned locals put their names forward offering to help.…

Parish Councillors were left in no doubt about how passionately Ruddingtonians care about the future of our unique village centre after people packed into their specially called meeting. Around 140 residents and traders turned up to have their say tonight (Thursday 12th April) and to hear what help the Parish Council and the community might be able to offer local businesses during tough times for traditional shops. Over recent years, as in many towns and villages, Ruddington’s banks have shut down – inevitably reducing footfall for other traders – whilst…

Literally thousands more people visited RUDDINGTON.info and Ruddington social media to search…
