Ruddington’s now famous annual real ale and cider festival is happening again from Thursday to Sunday this week. The four day “RuddFest” offers over 150 beers and ciders, alongside wines, Prosecco and spirits throughout the village PLUS live entertainment, a big variety of food and fun activities for the kids. Ruddington’s 2018 Summer Fayre

Ruddington’s third annual “Summer Fayre” is to be held on The Green on Saturday the 21st of July, and promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s. After the success of the first two events it’s again been organised for the village by the Events Team at Ruddington Parish Council – and will take place between midday and 6pm. More Big Sing Success!

Our village came alive today – with the sound of singing seemingly to be heard from every direction. It was nothing to do with The Eurovision Song Contest, but rather the 2018 Ruddington “Big Sing” – which organisers have hailed a great success! Hosted by Ruddington Community Choir, it is a festival simply to celebrate the joy of singing – with over 200 members from 13 choirs taking part in 13 workshops and community singing at six different village venues. Traders’ Task Force Takes Shape

Businesses in Ruddington have begun exploring innovative new ways they might work together in order to attract more residents and visitors to use our village centre. In an era of shop closures and pessimism there’s finally a bit of welcome business news for Ruddington… Firstly, we can confirm that Philo’s Deli is to take over the empty shop unit at 1A, Church Street (pictured above right) recently vacated by Tanners. The closure of Thomas’s Greengrocer’s in Ruddington seems to have prompted an unprecedented wave of concern for the future of our unique, village centre shops. That’s the NEW name for the former Bar Six on Dutton’s Hill! The contemporary drinking and dining venue has been extensively remodelled, refurbished and expanded onto TWO floors at number 6, Wilford Road.
