Woman Arrested Following Knife Injury in Ruddington

A woman has been arrested after a man was injured with a knife in Ruddington.

Nottinghamshire Police were called to an undisclosed address in our village following reports that a man had suffered injuries to his stomach inside a house. The 43-year-old had to be taken to hospital for treatment. Officers reveal, at this stage, his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.

It is understood that the incident actually took place at around 9pm last night (Thursday 12th May 2022). A 42-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Lisa-Marie Jones says: “We have arrested a woman in connection with this incident, which is still being investigated. As a force, we take all reports of this nature extremely seriously and we will always look to take robust action against anyone to be involved in violent crime, so that we can keep people safe. Our enquiries are still ongoing to establish exactly what happened.”

Officers have now launched an appeal for anyone with information which could help their investigation to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 773 of May 12th 2022.
