Village Jewellers Targeted Again

A jewellery shop in the centre of Ruddington has once again fallen victim to crime overnight. Rushcliffe Police have reported a burglary at David Richards Jewellers on Church Street in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 13th January). Fuel Thefts Dominate August Crime Stats

Rushcliffe Police report that, but for the continuing problems of drive-offs from Ruddington Service Station, last month would have been a very quiet month indeed for crime in our village. The figures are revealed in the Force’s statistics for August, just released. Out of just eleven reported offences during last month in Ruddington, five of them were motorists driving off from the Loughborough Road filling station without making payment. Thief Targets 92 Year-Old Ruddington Woman

Rushcliffe Police are urging Ruddington residents to be on their guard after an elderly householder was targeted by a thief yesterday morning (Friday 24 August). The incident happened just before 10am at the home of a 92-year old woman in Elms Close. May Day Mercedes Theft on Musters Road

Another Ruddington property was targeted by criminals early this morning – with the householders’ executive car taken during the raid. The burglary happened on Musters Road at around 5am today (Tuesday 1st May), just before sunrise. Rushcliffe Police report that a grey Mercedes E350 Hybrid vehicle was stolen with keys taken from the property. Officers returned to the scene later this morning to carry out fingerprinting. Car Criminals Strike Again

Rushcliffe Police warn that several incidents of car crime were reported in Ruddington overnight on Monday 2nd April and Tuesday 3rd April. A green Honda Accord was stolen from outside premises on Camelot Street sometime between 7pm and 7am. Also a White Hyundai was broken into by “unknown means” and a Dell laptop was stolen from inside – whilst a Mercedes parked on Wilford Road was entered but nothing was stolen. Ruddington Street Robbery Arrests

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of a knifepoint robbery in Ruddington. Rushcliffe Police say a boy was targeted by two men in Loughborough Road, who threatened him with a knife at about 7.10pm on Tuesday (27th March). They stole a quantity of cash from him before making off. Officers located two suspects nearby and two knives were recovered. A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man have been arrested.
