Ruddington’s main transport operator has announced the welcome news that the New Year will begin with significantly cheaper travel aboard our village buses. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) Navy 3 and Green 10 bus passengers will benefit from a 20% cut in its single fares throughout January, February and March 2023 thanks to the government funded ‘Help for Households’ initiative. A Ruddington pub boss says he was ‘shocked’ that Parish Councillors did not wish to renew a popular, long-running scheme to provide much needed extra parking in our village centre. It’s been confirmed a Ruddington community venture which started over the summer, offering a chef-prepared, two-course lunch for just £1, will continue into next year – and also increase the number of diners it can accommodate.
