New Pentecostal Church for Ruddington

The original timing for announcing the launch of a brand new type of worship in Ruddington was rather unfortunate, to say the least. It was back in February 2020 – just a month before the COVID-19 ‘lockdown’! Edwalton-based ‘The Rock Church’ managed to host only ONE of its Pentecostal-style services in St Peter’s Rooms before further plans had to be put on hold due to the virus. Our New Look Bookies

It’s just over two months since the relative peace and quiet of a Sunday evening in Ruddington was shattered by the dramatic arrival of fire crews, cordoning off High Street and smashing through the door to tackle a blaze at our village bookmakers. On 23rd June 2019 our branch of Coral had already closed for the day when smoke was seen billowing from the building and the emergency services called to the scene at just after 7pm. New Co-op Cashpoint

Ruddington will soon have a new 24 hour cashpoint on Church Street. For a short period, after the closure of HSBC’s branch in 2010 then Barclay’s in 2015, Ruddington was left without a single round-the-clock ATM in the village centre.  Instead locals and visitors had to rely on cash-back, machines located inside Sainsbury’s or the Co-op during opening hours, or head to Loughborough Road filling station.
