New Chair Gets Ready For Remembrance

As Ruddington prepares for the annual Royal British Legion Parade and Service of Remembrance at our War Memorial, on Sunday 13th November 2022, the Ruddington and District Branch has a new Chairman. Seeking ‘Warm Spaces’ this Winter

Despite the turmoil within our Government continuing – with the appointment of a new Chancellor of the Exchequer one of the recent changes – thankfully the latest gas and electricity price caps and £400 household energy rebates are not yet among the policies being reversed by Downing Street. Refurbished Ruddington Visitor Centre & Café Opens

The major work which started in January to upgrade the lakeside Education Centre and its associated facilities in Rushcliffe Country Park is now complete. As the sun shone down this morning {Wednesday 12th October},  The Friends of Rushcliffe Country Park, Rushcliffe Borough Councillors and other invited guests were among those attending the official opening to see all the improvements – including a permanent new café, the refurbished visitors’ centre and conference room, improved toilet facilities and additional landscaping.
