It’s been revealed that two unexpected sets of roadworks which began yesterday on major routes through Ruddington could last all week. Firstly, VIA East Midlands has issued an update about the emergency work on Clifton Road by Cadent Gas which is requiring the use of four-way temporary traffic lights at the roundabout with Pasture Lane/North Road/Clifton Lane and has already been causing delays for drivers – especially at peak times. Following an initial rise in reported crime in Ruddington when the strictest ‘lockdown’ measures were eased on April 12th, the month of May saw a welcome drop again, according to Rushcliffe Police. Reported Village Crime Increases Post-Lockdown

Crime statistics for Ruddington, just released by Rushcliffe Police for April 2021, show a significant rise in reported offences when compared with the first three months of this year. The end of the strictest ‘lockdown’ measures here is thought to be a contributory factor – with more people now out and about and more village premises now open for business. Figures just released for February 2021 by Rushcliffe Police show that offences in Ruddington have dropped again – to the lowest level since RUDDINGTON.info first started reporting them on a monthly basis. Gym’s Defib Fundraiser

A Ruddington fitness centre has launched a special fundraiser to buy emergency, life-saving equipment for its premises. The staff at Compound Strength and Conditioning are aiming to raise £1000 to install a defibrillator at their gym, as there currently isn’t one located in the Brookside Road area of Ruddington.
