The organisers of Ruddington’s Junior Parkrun have released final details about the two very special visitors coming to our Country Park this weekend. As previously reported, Pudsey Bear and celebrity body-coach Joe Wicks will be taking part in Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun this Sunday, 13th November 2022, as part of BBC Children in Need‘s annual fundraising. However, it’s worth noting some significant changes to Ruddington’s usual weekly event for 4 to 14 year-olds. Organisers of Ruddington’s free weekly run for 4 to 14 year-olds have revealed they’ll be joined by two very special guests this autumn. As part of BBC Children in Need, Pudsey Bear and celebrity body-coach Joe Wicks will be taking part in four UK Parkruns in November – including Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun in our country park at 9am on Sunday 13th November 2022. Our Parkrun Celeb is Still ‘Dancing on Ice’!

Excitement is mounting as Ruddington’s most famous park runner continues to progress in a top-rated, national, television contest. Stef Reid MBE, a track and field paralympian who competes for Team GB, has become one of the big stars of the fourteenth series of ITV’s ‘Dancing on Ice’. Last weekend we told you how Ruddington’s Wilbur the Cat had taken to social media and issued villagers with an invitation to his tenth birthday party next month.
