Ruddingtonians will get to see our local “Pointless” stars AGAIN – after they reached the “Head to Head” stage of the popular BBC TV quiz presented by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman on Friday. Father and daughter David and Megan McFarlane low-scored their way through to the penultimate round against Matilda and Amanda. Ruddington’s Grace Hardy has just missed out on being crowned “Miss Nottingham 2017”. Having become one of the top 10 finalists out of 19 women originally competing at this year’s contest, the 19 year old student came an impressive THIRD in Sunday night’s glitzy ceremony held at The Village Hotel in Beeston. The second runner-up was Chloe Adkin from Sutton-In-Ashfield. But it was 16 year old Nottingham student Maisie Hobbs who was crowned Miss Nottingham this year – becoming the youngest ever winner!
