Highway maintenance and construction works taking place in our village over the next few weeks, which are liable to disrupt traffic, are as follows:-
- Tuesday 23rd March to Friday 26th March 2021 – Old Loughborough Road – approx. 50m south of the junction with Landmere Lane – 24 hour two-way traffic signals – installation of new electricity supply by Western Power Distribution.
- Wednesday 21st April 7.00am to Saturday 24th April 5.00pm – Two-way 24 hour temporary traffic lights on Kirk Lane adjacent to Sycamore Close – work by Severn Trent Water in the carriageway.
- Monday 26th April 7.30am to Friday 28th May 5.30pm – Two-way 24 hour temporary traffic lights on Wilford Road adjacent to Trent Avenue – Severn Trent Water is carrying out further work in relation to the new ‘Fairham Green’ housing development.
- Extended until Fri 21st May 2021 – Multi-way 24-hour traffic lights – A60 Loughborough Road on the eastern side of the roundabout at the junction with Mere Way – To install a toucan crossing point, widen the footway, upgrade street lighting, install a new access for the William Davis housing development, upgrade existing surface water drain, widen approaches onto the roundabout, resurface the carriageway, add white lining and anti skid surface. - Until 31st May – Footpath closure on High Street for new shop/office development at former Barclay & Cook store (above) – Drivers please beware pedestrians in road.
Residents and visitors are warned of potential delays for drivers and passengers using Kinchbus 9, CT4N Services 22 & 23, Nottingham City Transport Navy 3, and Green 10C/10X Rushcliffe Country Park/Ruddingtion Fields buses, and the NottsBus Connect Service 863 during the above work.
