It’s part of this year’s extended Ruddington Christmas Market and everyone’s welcome! It’s the festive final day of Ruddington Christmas Market on Saturday 2nd December from 11am to 5pm at various indoor, outdoor and marquee venues in the village. Almost three and a half years’ ago we reported how Christian worshippers in our village would soon have another option – when Edwalton based ‘The Rock Church’ announced it would be holding monthly services in Ruddington. Ruddington was alive with the sound of music yesterday – as around 170 voices demonstrated the joy of singing at various venues around our village. Organised by Ruddington Community Choir, ‘The Big Sing’ was back – after a five year absence due to COVID-19 and other factors – and it seems participants from near and far quickly and eagerly picked up from where it had left off. Visit the Village Museum that’s housed within part of St Peter’s Rooms, which was Ruddington’s former Victorian school. It’s open on Thursday 10.00am – 12noon from 6th April to 28th September. This museum was founded in 1968. It explores retail life in late Victorian and early Edwardian Ruddington through a series of displays which recreate the village shops of yesteryear.
