A Feast of Free Trees!

For the past six years, Ruddington residents have been offered the chance to make our properties greener by applying for ‘free trees’ from Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC). Over 10,000 trees have been distributed since the start of this campaign in 2018. In previous years the authority has given villagers an option of TWO trees to apply for. Ruddington Defibrillator Update

In the past few years, as well as inside various village premises and on standby for public events, Ruddington has seen the installation of several, potentially life-saving yellow and green boxes which are available to our community 24 hours a day. There are now seven publicly accessible automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at locations around our village, as indicated below on the updated map originally drawn up Barbara Breakwell and James Norton. Free Cycling Event

Ruddington residents of any age can take part in this FREE cycling event from 11am to 2pm at Rushcliffe Country Park – no booking is needed for any of the activities. Go along for taster sessions from British Cycling and there’ll be a range of adapted bikes from RideWise to try out. Also Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Community Satefy Team will provide a bike marking and registering session. This event is organised by Rushcliffe Borough Council.
