Twin Town Teams’ Football and Fun!

Ruddington has entertained two young teams from A.G. Grenay, the football club from our French Twin town, Grenay, in north eastern France. From Thursday 10th May to Sunday 13th May our village hosted a total of 33 people including the Mayor of Grenay and his wife, 21 children aged from 12 to 15 years and a collection of football coaches and parents. “Le Jumelage”

Football will be the focus of this week’s visit by another young group from our “twin town” of Grenay. Although the “Twinning” activities (“Le Jumelage” in French) lapsed for several years, there’s recently been a drive to re-establish links and arrange new exchange trips between Ruddington and Grenay – which lies in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France.
