The countdown has begun to the launch of a brand new Ruddington Village Market – which is set to start in February 2019. As reported previously on RUDDINGTON.info, the idea of an outdoor market began to gather pace following the formation of the Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP). Ruddington’s Three Spices has again been recognised as one of the best in the country at this year’s  “Curry Life Awards” organised by Curry Life Magazine. This time, the popular Indian restaurant on Easthorpe Street won the “Best Customer Choice 2018” category. The good news was announced during a glittering ceremony at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Sunday night. Ruddington’s now famous annual real ale and cider festival is happening again from Thursday to Sunday this week. The four day “RuddFest” offers over 150 beers and ciders, alongside wines, Prosecco and spirits throughout the village PLUS live entertainment, a big variety of food and fun activities for the kids. Valentine’s Day diners at one of our popular village inns are having to negotiate their way past protesters this evening. Nottingham Animal Rights activists have gathered at The Ruddington Arms from 7pm to 9pm, holding up signs and handing out, leaflets to object to ‘Ballotine of Foie Gras’ being an optional starter on the gastropub’s £38.50 romantic menu.
