The new roadworks scheduled this week at Ruddington’s northern boundary have been delayed due to the icy conditions and predicted heavy snow. Two-way 24-hour temporary signals were due to be in operation on Wilford Road from first thing TODAY (Monday 26th February) until this Wednesday (28th February) around 40 metres south of the Landmere Lane junction. If you’re catching Nottingham City Transport‘s Navy 3 or Green 10 into or out of the City Centre early or late this weekend beware that overnight diversions are taking place. These will also effect NightBus N48. It’s because the old pedestrian bridges across Collin Street between the old Broadmarsh Bus Station and the Shopping Centre are due to be removed between tonight (Friday 5th January) and Monday 8th January. Clifton Road Delays

Ruddington’s drivers are facing more delays over the next few days as electricity cabling by Western Power Distribution takes place along Clifton Road. After preparatory work yesterday (Thursday 11th August) temporary traffic lights are now in use. Having been put back a day due to the bad weather, work is now underway and the latest roadworks.org update warns it is due to continue through until Thursday, the 24th of August. Meantime traffic control is in place from the junction with Old Station Drive to the Pasture Lane roundabout. It’s causing hold-ups…

Ruddington’s motorists have had to suffer perhaps more than their fair share of traffic delays this year –  from the construction of Tavern Island to the repainting of The Red Lion – whilst the long anticipated Flawforth Lane closure hasn’t even happened yet! Roundabout Road Closures Begin

There will be significant daytime disruption for Ruddington’s drivers and bus users this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. From Monday the 27th February until Wednesday 1st of March both Wilford Road and Clifton Road are due to be closed at the construction site of our new roundabout from 9.30am until 3.30pm each day. Between these times there will be pedestrian and cycle access only.
