Wilford Road Water Work

The new roadworks scheduled this week at Ruddington’s northern boundary have been delayed due to the icy conditions and predicted heavy snow.

Two-way 24-hour temporary signals were due to be in operation on Wilford Road from first thing TODAY (Monday 26th February) until this Wednesday (28th February) around 40 metres south of the Landmere Lane junction. Severn Trent Water needs to dig up the road to install a new connection to an existing main in order to supply the new housing next to the new care home there.

Once this work begins, traffic flow is to be assisted by manually controlling these lights during peak periods from 7.30am to 9.30am and then from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. However, it’s thought delays will still likely for motorists and to Nottingham City Transport’s Navy 3 bus. So please keep an eye out here and on our Twitter feed for updates!
