Another of Ruddington’s pubs has received wider recognition – this time from Nottingham’s Branch of The Campaign for Real Ale. The Frame Breakers, at the corner of High Street and Kirk Lane, is one of the two runners-up announced today in its “Village Pub of the Year 2017” awards. Nominated pubs in the Nottingham area were judged on a number of criteria, which included beer quality, warmth of welcome and general mix of clientele, amongst other considerations. Managers and staff at Ruddington’s Country Cottage Hotel are celebrating again after they won another accolade for taking extra steps to ensure customers are safe and have a great time when they visit. Our popular village hotel, conference, music and wedding venue – run by Julie Sturt and her son Andrew – secured the “Judges Choice Award 2016/17” for Rushcliffe. A Ruddington based technology company which supplies education software is celebrating a win at last night’s Bett Awards. Impero, which is based at Oak House in Ruddington Fields Business Park, picked up the gong for “ICT Exporter of the Year“. It’s official – Ruddington has the ‘Best Indian Chef in Nottinghamshire’! Monaim Choudhury of The Three Spices on Easthorpe Street (pictured on stage) has just received this accolade at the “Curry Life Awards 2016” organised by Curry Life Magazine. Freedom Flying High!

Members of Freedom Dance & Performance are celebrating their success at the 2016 “Dance World Cup“.   38 different countries from Jersey to South Africa were there taking part. Among the twelve thousand competitors were thirty young dancers from the Ruddington based performing arts school – who jetted off to Jersey for a week to compete as part of Team England. The great news is that Freedom brought home 2 Silver medals – for Inter Song and Dance Group “Welcome to Wonderland” and the Children’s Hip Hop Solo by Marly-Rae Gaunt.…
