Free Cycling Event

Ruddington residents of any age can take part in this FREE cycling event from 11am to 2pm at Rushcliffe Country Park – no booking is needed for any of the activities. Go along for taster sessions from British Cycling and there’ll be a range of adapted bikes from RideWise to try out. Also Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Community Satefy Team will provide a bike marking and registering session. This event is organised by Rushcliffe Borough Council. Green Memory Café 

This is a new initiative in Ruddington. The Green Memory Café at Rushcliffe Country Park is for people living with memory loss and their carers. You can drop-in to the refurbished Meeting Room at the Visitor Centre on Wednesday 16th August, anytime between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.  Rushcliffe Dementia Project aim is for people to experience nature based activities, short walks or just to relax, socialise and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. August Village Market

Held on the first Saturday of each month, Ruddington Village Market features a huge variety of stalls on The Green. Market day is a great chance to stroll around and also visit Ruddington’s many local shops and businesses. Ruddington’s Summer Roadworks

Whilst our schools are out for the big holiday it’s hoped less traffic will mean fewer delays for Ruddington’s long-suffering motorists. However, there are some scheduled roadworks going on which will inevitably still cause inconvenience and longer journey times. First up, St John’s Road (pictured above) – a popular Ruddington shortcut – is closed to traffic from July 24th to 28th for National Grid work (as shown below), therefore motorists from Wilford Road will need to travel via the village centre to get into the estate or out onto Loughborough Road, and vice-versa.*…
