Village residents and drivers are being warned to brace themselves for yet more queues on the A60 from this week, whilst further work takes place around the Mere Way roundabout.
Whilst there has already been a week of two-way temporary traffic lights outside Balmore Country House – for cabling work in the pavement by the new Pelican Crossing – there are also NEW multi-way signals scheduled for Seven Trent Water roadworks on Loughborough Road over most of this October half-term.
Please be aware of other planned work on Kirk Lane, Vicarage Lane and Easthorpe Street before the end of this month, too.

- Mon 18th October extended to Wed 27th October – 24hr three-way signals on Loughborough Road south of the Mere Way roundabout – work by Severn Trent Water to install/renew pipe work.
- Sun 24th October – Stop/go boards on Kirk Lane near the Loughborough Road Junction – Gas main work by Cadent.
- Mon 25th to Wed 27th October – 24hr two-way signals on Loughborough Road north of the Mere Way roundabout opp. Telephone Repeater Station – work by Severn Trent Water – ‘Trial Hole to Assess 180mm Pe Main’.
- Mon 25th to Wed 27th October 8am to 5pm – two-way signals on Wilford Road near to the entrance to Lodge Farm – work by BT Openreach – ‘Desilting of Manholes’.
- Mon 25th to Wed 27th October – Vicarage Lane footway closure with some carriageway incursion – work by Severn Trent Water.
- Thu 28th to Sun 31st October – Two-way Signals on Easthorpe Street – New gas connection by Cadent outside the former Hair Flair premises (o/s 25a).
Residents and visitors can expect delays and disruption for drivers, and also passengers using Kinchbus 9, CT4N Services 22 & 23 & Nottingham City Transport’s Green 10C/10X Rushcliffe Country Park/Ruddington Fields buses and the NottsBus Connect Service 863, during the above work.
