Despite the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, there’s still highway maintenance and other work scheduled to take place on the roads in our village over the next few weeks. If you are still out and about, making essential journeys, please note these are as follows:-
- Until Monday 25th May 2020 – Hoarding 19m long x 2.2m high x 3m wide sited at number 2 High Street for building construction by Whytemac Limited – footpath closure plus restriction of parking and road width.
- Monday 20th April 2020 To Wednesday 22nd April 2020 – A60 Loughborough Rd, Ruddington – approx. 500m south of Nottingham Knight island – Two-way traffic signals 08.00 hours To 17.00 hours for mains water leak repair and Boundary Box installation by Severn Trent Water
- Monday 20th April 2020 To Thursday 7th May 2020 (excluding weekends) – B680 Wilford Rd, Ruddington, under the A52 overbridge (TOP PHOTO) – Two-Way Traffic Signals 09.00 hours To 15.00 hours for removal of pigeon waste on underside of bridge by Highways England!
- Tuesday 21st April 2020 to Tuesday 28th April 2020 – Flawforth Lane, Ruddington – approx. 250m from its junction with A60 Loughborough Rd – 24 hour two-Way traffic signals for emergency works by Western Power Distribution to restore service.
- Tuesday 28th April 2020 – B680 Wilford Rd, Ruddington, approx. 125m north of the Paget Crescent junction – two-way traffic signals from 09.30 hours To 15.30 hours – mobile telecoms fault rectification works by O2 Telefonica due to a fault with the signal at this site. Works are to resolve this issue and get the new mobile mast to a fully working status.
- From 06.30 hours Monday 4th May 2020 until 18.00 hours Friday 26th June 2020 – Prohibition of Driving along Landmere Lane, Ruddington, between its junctions with Old Loughborough Rd and A52 Clifton Boulevard, Edwalton, due to Gas Mains reinforcement works by Cadent.
Given the lack of traffic on village roads during the lockdown, it is unlikely any of this work will cause significant delays for drivers – or for Nottingham City Transport’s Green 10 Ruddington bus service.
