The ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’ are appealing for villagers’ help after their knitted Royal Balcony scene was ripped off the railings of St Peter’s Church last night (Sunday 29th May)*. *GOOD NEWS – UPDATE BELOW! The display was one of dozens meticulously crafted and put in place recently around our village in a ‘Yarn Bomb’ for residents and visitors to enjoy during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Platinum Jubilee Yarn Bomb!

Eagle-eyed Ruddingtonians will already have spotted the appearance of some new, knitted creations around our village – courtesy of the now famous ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’. Following a similar ‘Yarn Bomb’ at Christmas, and one or two changing pillar box toppers outside the Co-op before and after that, marking topical events, the ‘Ninjas’ have been very busy getting ready to celebrate the long Queen’s ‘Platinum Jubilee’ weekend next month.
