“Join us hunting for creepy crawlies in our secret woodland!” At Rushcliffe Country Park you’ll also be pond dipping as well as hunting for bugs on the first two Tuesdays (1st and 8th) in August for a couple of hours from 10.30am to 12.30pm. BioBlitz at Rushcliffe Country Park

Family and friends come to this free event to count the number of wildlife species living in our Country Park. On Sunday 3rd July, BioBlitz continues, between 10am and 5pm. BioBlitz is a fun way to find as many different type of plants and animals in the park in just one day and one night – which started yesterday evening, with the Bat walk and talk! BioBlitz Evening at Rushcliffe Country Park

You’re invited to the BioBlitz event – on tonight and tomorrow. The race is on to find as many different species (e.g. plants, birds, insects, fungi, mammals, fish) and everything else in 24-hours! Hey, Little Slow-Worm!

Ruddington is quite fortunate to have a number of places where slightly more unusual wildlife can be found – with volunteers such as those from The South Notts Local Group of the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust helping it to survive and thrive.
