Elections 2017 – Reg is Returned

Ruddington remains “true blue” following yesterday’s Nottinghamshire County Council elections. After the count this morning it was revealed that BOTH the councillors for the new, expanded “Leake & Ruddington” Electoral Division were the Conservative party candidates – between them securing 57.05% of the vote. Bradmore based councillor Reg Adair (above) continues his 12 year run representing Ruddington at County Hall. He is now joined by fellow Conservative Andy Brown (right) of East Leake – who previously represented Soar Valley. Even before Prime Minister Theresa May announced a surprise general election for Thursday the 8th of June – approved by MPs today – polling cards had been sent out to households in Ruddington to vote in the forthcoming Nottinghamshire County Council elections.
