Ruddington Parish Council is again looking for community-minded villagers to come forward to fill two vacancies – after a couple of its newer councillors stepped down. Empty seats have been left in Camelot Ward and Manor Ward – following the resignations of Yvonne Lishman and Sarah Godfrey respectively. After the count this morning it was revealed that BOTH the councillors for the new, expanded “Leake & Ruddington” Electoral Division were the Conservative party candidates – between them securing 57.05% of the vote. Mark Pinks says he is “humbled” to have won the Ruddington Parish Council By-Election held to fill the vacant seat in Camelot Ward.
