October sees the start of a brand new initiative to encourage Ruddington residents and visitors to patronise our village’s many shops, pubs, cafés, restaurants, takeaways and other retailers – with special offers to showcase the diverse range of products and services available right here on our doorstep. Back in April we reported how local traders in Ruddington began exploring innovative new ways they might work together to attract more residents and visitors to use our village centre. Celebrating The Great British High Street

Ruddington is kick-starting a celebration of local high streets in a new initiative from Rushcliffe Borough Council to promote the great businesses that exist within its communities. From TODAY (July 16th) the week long campaign sees the authority showcasing high street retailers and encouraging them to work together in their neighbourhoods to submit an application to the 2018 “Great British High Street Awards” run by The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.
