Early Morning Blaze in Ruddington

Firefighters from West Bridgford, Highfields, London Road and East Leake stations were at work in the early hours of this morning tackling a house fire in Ruddington. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a property at the corner of Kirk Lane and Loughborough Road at 12.32am today (Saturday 14th December) which was reported to be on fire. Incident Closes Clifton Road For Six Hours

Motorists trying to get between Ruddington and Clifton have found themselves facing a long diversion this evening (Thursday 12th September) after Clifton Road was closed to traffic. Officers put cordons in place – and blocked the route with police cars – to prevent access to and from Wilford Road at ‘Tavern Island’ after an accident near the end of Clifton Road.
