Platinum Jubilee Yarn Bomb!

Eagle-eyed Ruddingtonians will already have spotted the appearance of some new, knitted creations around our village – courtesy of the now famous ‘Ruddington Yarn Ninjas’. Following a similar ‘Yarn Bomb’ at Christmas, and one or two changing pillar box toppers outside the Co-op before and after that, marking topical events, the ‘Ninjas’ have been very busy getting ready to celebrate the long Queen’s ‘Platinum Jubilee’ weekend next month. Platinum Jubilee Plans Progress

A provisional programme of events has been revealed for Ruddington’s celebrations of Her Majesty the Queen’s seventy years on the throne this summer. With extra UK public holidays already in place for the Platinum Jubilee, Ruddington Parish Council has organised a weekend of activities to mark our much loved Monarch’s record breaking reign. Planning for the Platinum Jubilee

Next year Britain will be celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Right now Ruddingtonians are being asked how we’d like mark our longest ever serving monarch’s milestone here in the village. Ruddington Parish Council is starting to organise events to mark Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II‘s seventy years on the throne, which are to be celebrated from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June 2022.
