Organisers of Ruddington’s free weekly run for 4 to 14 year-olds have revealed they’ll be joined by two very special guests this autumn. As part of BBC Children in Need, Pudsey Bear and celebrity body-coach Joe Wicks will be taking part in four UK Parkruns in November – including Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun in our country park at 9am on Sunday 13th November 2022. A community spirited Ruddington computer repairer has come to the aid of cash-strapped local parents whose children need access to a laptop for their studies during ‘lockdown’. Organisers of a BBC Children in Need “24 hour Spin Challenge” in Ruddington are celebrating raising £591.50 for the kids charity – so far! Scott Cawthan and Ryan Charlesworth (pictured) completed their gruelling challenge at midday today at The Project Body UK Gym and Wellness Centre on The Green after cycling through the night. Other cyclists joined in by doing 30 minute spin sessions alongside them – in exchange for a donation in the bucket for Pudsey.
