Nottinghamshire Police have launched an appeal for information following the theft of a trailer in Ruddington on Wednesday. A 2003 registered black and silver two tone Mitsubishi L200 Animal pick-up – similar to the vehicle shown below – was spotted stealing the trailer from a building site at Loughborough Road on Wednesday March 11th at around 6.00pm. The same vehicle was also seen the day before at about 2.45pm in East Leake attempting to steal a caravan from Manor Farm Meadow. Police Report Record Haul During Knife Amnesty
Community support is being acknowledged in helping Nottinghamshire Police recover a record number of weapons during the nationwide ‘Operation Sceptre’ week of action last month. Officers reveal that, across our county, more than 1,000 weapons were taken out of circulation. 949 were handed in through the knife amnesty, between the 16th and 22nd September, and the rest through weapons sweeps, targeted operations and stop and search activity.
