After a ‘lull’ over the Christmas and New Year period, the road diggers will be out and about again in Ruddington over the coming weeks.
Work by Severn Trent originally scheduled to take place at one of our busiest junctions last Sunday only (9th January) will now be taking place over two weekends this month.
Thankfully this water connection work – at the crossroads of Loughborough, Kirk Lane and Flawforth Avenue – is still scheduled just on Sundays: the 16th and 23rd January. This means the disruption for motorists should be kept to a minimum.
However, those who live on Manor Park, or parents/guardians who drive children to James Peacock Infant & Nursery School, are being reminded that 24-hour multi-way temporary traffic lights are due be put in place on the only vehicular access route for four weekdays. From this Monday 17th January the installation of a new water connection there by Severn Trent means it would again be wise to allow a little extra time for your journeys.
Further work, just announced, is another total closure of Ruddington’s High Street for the day on Sunday 17th April. We’ll bring you further details about this prohibition of driving nearer the time.
