Highway maintenance and construction works taking place in our village right now, and within the next couple of weeks, which are liable to disrupt traffic are as follows:-
- Sun Jan 24th 2021 (only) from 8.00am – Junction of Loughborough Road and Asher Lane and down Asher Lane (verge) – Two-way temporary traffic lights in use for work by British Telcom to face the Poplar trees. Safe access is required in order to gain access to the overhead network in order to carry out cabling work and tree branches to prevent damages.
- 8.00am Mon 25th Jan 2021 to 4.00pm Thu 28th Jan 2021 – Clifton Road will be completely closed between its junctions with Camelot Street and Old Station Drive. This ‘Temporary Prohibition of Driving’ is due to resurfacing work. Read more >>HERE<<.
- Thursday 28th January 2021 9am to 4pm – Three way temporary traffic lights – High Street at the junction with Church St – Chamber access required for new cabling works by British Telecom / Openreach
- Ongoing until Fri 12th Feb 2021 – Closure of Musters Road – at its junction with Western Fields – To form a vehicular entrance to the Avant Homes development with Drainage / Service Works. {Plan below.}
- Ongoing until Fri 26th Mar 2021 – Multi-way traffic lights – A60 Loughborough Road on the eastern side of the roundabout at the junction with Mere Way – To install a toucan crossing point, widen the footway, upgrade street lighting, install a new access for the William Davis housing development, upgrade existing surface water drain, widen approaches onto the roundabout, resurface the carriageway, add white lining and anti skid surface. Residents and visitors are warned of potential delays for drivers and passengers using Nottingham City Transport’s Green 10C/10X Rushcliffe Country Park/Ruddingtion Fields buses during some of the above work.
