Do You Need a ‘Mummy MOT’?

Rushcliffe Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic are excited to announce that one of their Pelvic Health Physiotherapists, Carrie Martin (pictured above), has recently become accredited as a provider of the specialist ‘Mummy MOT’.

As the only provider of The Mummy MOT in the south of Nottinghamshire, Rushcliffe Physiotherapy is pleased to be able to deliver specialist care to not only post-natal mums but also those expecting. A Mummy MOT provides patients with a tailored approach to assessing posture, pelvic floor muscles and stomach muscles post birth, with gentle exercises and treatment. For expecting mums, our therapist can help with pregnancy related aches and pains, preparing for birth and also advice on exercise.

Carrie Martin has over four years’ experience treating Pelvic Health issues, and occasionally assists on the teaching program at local universities teaching pelvic health to aspiring undergraduate physiotherapists. Carrie has a young daughter and understands that both the ante and post natal path can be tricky to navigate and by providing the Mummy MOT’s, hopes she can help others through this journey.

Alongside these specialist services, Rushcliffe Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic provides treatment for sports injuries, aches and pains and improving mobility and your general health. The clinic also has a specialist massage therapist, paediatric physiotherapist and counselling services.
