Ruddington Arrest After Firearms Warrant

Nottinghamshire Police say a 40-year-old man has been arrested during an early morning raid in our village on suspicion of the possession of a firearm.

Officers carried out a warrant just before 2.30am today (Tuesday 4th February) at a house on Woodhouse Gardens in Ruddington and recovered what is thought to be a firearm from the property.

Detective Constable Paul Parish, who is investigating this case, said: “We take all information we get about firearms extremely seriously and I am pleased we have been able to take what appears to be a firearm off our streets.”

He added: “We are committed to keeping our communities safe from the use of weapons and we will continue our work through education and enforcement to ensure that is the case.”
