Organisers of Ruddington’s free weekly run for 4 to 14 year-olds have revealed they’ll be joined by two very special guests this autumn.
As part of BBC Children in Need, Pudsey Bear and celebrity body-coach Joe Wicks will be taking part in four UK Parkruns in November – including Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun in our country park at 9am on Sunday 13th November 2022.
On that date, Ruddington’s usual junior walk will be replaced with a 2k ‘Walk With Joe’ fundraiser – accompanied by Pudsey and other CBeebies stars. Whilst entry will remain free, family and friends are invited to donate whatever they can to the BBC Children in Need appeal and walk the route with their youngsters. There’s also a downloadable sponsorship pack >>HERE<<. On the day you can wear your favourite fancy dress, spotty outfit, or even Pudsey ears!
Also coming to Rushcliffe Country Park that Sunday morning will be the MINI ‘Big Love Bootbank’ – a place where walkers (and spectators) can see the British built, zero-emission MINI Electric and donate running or walking gear to communities that need it most.
Here’s Joe’s message inviting everyone along:
If you’ve not taken part in the Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun before please just remember to register in advance >>HERE<<. Then see you on the big day!
