Ruddington’s heritage railway has confirmed it will continue with the rest of its planned autumn and winter events as scheduled. This follows the sudden cancellation of the second half of the much publicised “Superhero Weekend” at its Mere Way site yesterday (Sun 29th October). This Saturday 4th November sees the annual Great Central Railway Nottingham (GCRN) “Firework Spectacular” starting at 7.30pm – with gates open at 5.30pm for hot food, a funfair and miniature train rides. Kids of all ages can mix with their comic book heroes during a special themed event this month at Ruddington’s Great Central Railway. The “Superhero Weekend” at Mere Way on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th October has been organised by “Superhero Days Out” in conjunction with our local heritage railway. You’re encouraged to go there dressed as your favourite character and feel the excitement on the “Grand Steam Train” as Batman, Spiderman and The Joker battle it out during your hour long journey.
