Ruddington’s famous ‘Firework Spectacular‘ is at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre on Saturday 4th November. NTHC’s annual evening display for Guy Fawkes night features a funfair, hot food,  a licensed bar and live music. Also the model railway and miniature train rides will be available. A Quieter Fifth of November?

Ruddington residents are being reminded to show consideration for others and the environment this weekend – including moving to “lower noise” fireworks for Bonfire Night and other, forthcoming celebrations. Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) says we can all play our part to help protect local people, pets and wildlife – and is leading by example following a Cabinet decision earlier this year that called for lower volume effects at its events, which included choosing “quieter” fireworks for its own displays. Ruddington’s heritage railway has confirmed it will continue with the rest of its planned autumn and winter events as scheduled. This follows the sudden cancellation of the second half of the much publicised “Superhero Weekend” at its Mere Way site yesterday (Sun 29th October).
